ภายใต้เทศกาลลอยกระทงเดือนพฤศจิกายน ภายใต้สีธงชาติไทย 3 สี สืบสานประเพณีโบราณในการชำระล้างโชคร้าย เมื่อผู้คนจุดเทียนลงในแม่น้ำ และมีควันสีเขียวพวยพุ่งขึ้น ถาดเขี่ยบุหรี่รูปช้างก็ตั้งอยู่อย่างเงียบๆ บนชายคาวัด กลืนกินดอกไม้ไฟทั่วโลกไป ที่เขี่ยบุหรี่นี้ ซึ่งพระสงฆ์ถูจนเป็นสนิมอุ่นๆ จะช่วยยึดขี้เถ้าธูปไว้ด้วยส่วนโค้งที่โค้งเล็กน้อยเหมือนงวงช้าง ในวัฒนธรรมไทย ช้างเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความฉลาดและความแข็งแกร่ง และสามารถแบกเขาพระสุเมรุทั้งหลังได้ รูปทรงกลมของที่เขี่ยบุหรี่สอดคล้องกับปรัชญาพุทธศาสนาเรื่อง “ความว่างเปล่า” เช่นเดียวกับขี้เถ้าที่ต้องกลับคืนสู่ดินในที่สุด ความยากลำบากและความหงุดหงิดในชีวิตสามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงและเกิดใหม่ได้ด้วยการยอมรับและความอดทนเท่านั้น พื้นผิวไม้ที่ช่างฝีมือตั้งใจเก็บรักษาไว้เปรียบเสมือนแถบสีน้ำเงินเข้มตรงกลางธงชาติ เพื่อเตือนใจชาวโลกให้ตระหนักว่าประชาชนภายใต้การคุ้มครองของราชวงศ์ควรเดินหน้าต่อไปอย่างมั่นคงเหมือนช้าง เมื่อธูปถูกจุดจนเกือบไหม้ ควันสีฟ้าจะลอยขึ้นมาระหว่างรอยพับของรูปแกะสลักหัวช้าง เหมือนกับช้างกำลังยกหัวขึ้นสูงไปบนท้องฟ้า เถ้าถ่านที่เก็บสะสมไว้ไม่ได้เป็นจุดสิ้นสุดอีกต่อไป แต่เป็นสารอาหารสำหรับชีวิตใหม่ เฉกเช่นสีขาวบนธงชาติ ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของความบริสุทธิ์ จิตวิญญาณที่ได้รับการหล่อหลอมโดยโลก ในที่สุดก็จะส่องแสงเจิดจ้าขึ้นจากเถ้าถ่าน เดือนพฤศจิกายนนี้ ขอให้เราแบกรับความเจ็บปวดของชีวิตด้วยใจที่เป็นเหมือนที่เขี่ยบุหรี่ช้าง ให้ทุกช่วงเวลาของความหงุดหงิดกลายมาเป็นไม้จันทน์ที่ส่องสว่างในหัวใจของเรา และให้หลอมวิญญาณช้างที่ไม่สามารถทำลายได้ในขี้เถ้าและควัน

Under the three colors of the Thai flag, the Loy Krathong Festival in November carries the ancient tradition of washing away bad luck. When people put the lit candles into the river and the smoke rises, the elephant-shaped sandalwood ashtray stands quietly on the eaves of the temple, swallowing and exhaling the fireworks of the world. This ashtray, which has been rubbed by monks to a warm patina, holds the incense ash with the slightly curled arc of the elephant’s trunk. In Thai culture, elephants are the embodiment of wisdom and strength, and their backs can carry the entire Mount Sumeru. The round belly shape of the ashtray is in line with the Buddhist philosophy of “emptiness” – just as ashes will eventually return to the earth, the difficulties and frustrations in life can only be transformed and reborn through acceptance and tolerance. The wood texture that the craftsman deliberately retained is just like the dark blue stripe in the center of the national flag, reminding the world: the people under the protection of the royal family should move forward as steadily as elephants. When the incense stick burns to the last inch, the smoke flows and rises between the folds of the elephant’s head carving, as if the elephant is looking up to the sky. The ashes that have been collected are no longer the end, but the nourishment of a new life. Just like the white color on the national flag, which symbolizes purity, the soul that has been tempered by the world will eventually be tempered into a brighter light in the ashes. This November, let us bear the burning pain of life with the heart of an elephant ashtray, let every moment of frustration become the sandalwood that illuminates the heart, and forge an indestructible elephant soul in the place where the ashes are gone.

这尊被僧侣摩挲出温润包浆的烟灰缸，以象鼻微卷的弧度托起香灰。在泰国文化中，大象是智慧与力量的化身，其背脊能驮起整座须弥山。烟灰缸的圆肚造型暗合佛教”空”的哲学——正如灰烬终将回归大地，生命中的困顿与挫败，唯有接纳包容方能转化重生。匠人刻意保留的木材纹理，恰似国旗中央的深蓝条纹，提醒世人：王室庇护下的子民，当如大象般沉稳前行。

当香柱燃至最后一寸，青烟在象首雕刻的褶皱间流转升腾，恍若大象昂首向天的姿态。那些被收纳的灰烬，此刻不再是终局，而是新生的养料。就像国旗上象征纯洁的白色，经历尘世淬炼的灵魂，终将在灰烬里淬炼出更璀璨的光芒。

这个十一月，让我们以大象烟灰缸的胸怀承载生命灼痛，让每个挫败时刻都成为照见内心的檀香，在灰飞烟灭处，铸就不可摧折的象魂。
